NORTHERN BEACHES DARTS
B GRADE FINALS – 9th July, 2025
Hi everyone,
What an end to the competition for the B Grade, with an epic game between the TIMO and the CALABRIA CLUB, which ended with a great win for the CALABRIA, but only just with the final score being 9-7.
Looking at the sheet, the games literally went one way then the other. Calabria having the first win, Timo the second, Calabria the third and so on, until the final double when Darren and Stu got the point which won the match.
Congratulations to Captain MARK, SAL, STUART and DARREN, and commiserations to DAVID, PETER, TOM, LIAM and WILL, who put up a great fight, and to both teams for a great effort.
Individual it was really only one person who made his mark and that was BOWIE, by the looks of the sheet he played his heart out. He finished one game with a 130 peg then another game needing 127 for the point and finished that with a BULL. Well done. Also, for the Calabria we congratulate DARREN for having his second 180 of the comp, but this was one that certainly mattered. Well done to you both.
Now next week at PITTWATER RSL you will see the battle of the A Grade being played between arch rivals PITTY U (who have yet to loose a game) and PITTY 1 who, I must admit, have struggled to maintain their spot in the top four but have done it and now in the finals, and we all know anything can happen on the night. This is going to be a great game so if you are not doing anything, want to watch good darts being thrown then go along to Pitty RSL and support the guys.
Also, another reminder that the DISTRICT DOUBLES is being held at the Builders Club on the 23rd JULY. All welcome, it will be a drawn pairs and played in divisions. Then on the 30th JULY we will be holding the DISTRICT SINGLES again at the Builders Club. For both competitions the cost will be $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members. Come along and try your luck at the same time having some fun. Bring your friends and neighbours and introduce them to our darting family, hopefully we can encourage new members. There will also be an opportunity to purchase one of the new Northern Beaches Darts shirts. Only a few left so make sure you don’t miss out.
Well, that is all from me this week, short and sweet. Well done to the Calabria Club, and good luck to the two Pitty teams next week. So, from a very cold and rainy (much needed) Albury, I say good throwing to both teams.
